NexusTiers

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

NexusTiers ranks Minecraft PvP players. To do that we store Minecraft usernames, UUIDs, regions and tier results, plus the Discord details needed to run tier tests. This page lists exactly what we store, why, who else sees it, and how to get it changed or deleted.

1. Who runs NexusTiers

NexusTiers (nexustiers.com and its Discord servers for Vanilla, Mace, Spearmace and SMP) is a community project run by kappader4 from Switzerland. The operator is responsible for the data described here.

Contact: kappader4@gmail.com. You can also open a support ticket in any NexusTiers Discord server.

2. Data shown on the website

For every ranked player, the website and its public API (/players, /tier/<uuid> and the same paths under /mace, /spearmace and /smp) show:

This information is public on purpose: showing it is what a tier list does. Anyone, including other websites and mods, can read it through the public API. Player head images are loaded from mc-heads.net using the player's UUID.

3. Data from Discord testing

Tier tests happen in our Discord servers and are run by our Discord bots. To run them, the bots store:

WhatWhy
Your Discord user IDTo link your queue spot, ticket and results to you
The Minecraft username, preferred server and region you enter in the test formSo a tester can find and test you
Queue entries, open test tickets and ticket deadlinesTo run the waiting list and test channels
Retest cooldownsTo stop players retesting too often
Test results (tier, outcome, result message link)To set and update your tier
Support ticket details (who opened it, type, number, who claimed it)To handle support requests
For testers: tests completed and optional tester list entriesFor tester statistics and tester lists

To turn a username into a UUID, the bot looks the name up with Mojang's public profile API. Messages you send in our Discord servers are also processed by Discord under its own privacy policy.

5. The TierTagger mod

TierTagger asks our API for the tiers of players you see in game by sending their UUIDs. It does not send your account details, your chat, or anything else from your game. Our server receives your IP address with each request, the same as for a website visit, and does not store it.

6. Other services we use

ServiceWhat it receives
Infomaniak (Switzerland)Hosts our server and the stored data
DiscordEverything that happens in our Discord servers
Google FontsYour IP address when your browser loads the site's fonts
mc-heads.netYour IP address and the UUIDs of the players shown, to load head images
Mojang (Microsoft)Usernames the bot looks up to find UUIDs

We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone else for marketing.

7. Why we are allowed to use it

We process this data because running a public tier list and its testing system is our legitimate interest, and because you ask to be tested when you join a queue. This applies under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the EU or EEA, Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

8. How long we keep it

9. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Contact kappader4@gmail.com or open a support ticket in a NexusTiers Discord server. We answer within 30 days. Removing your data also removes your tiers from the website.

If you think we handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

10. Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
