TierTagger

A lightweight Fabric client mod that shows each player's NexusTiers rank right in your game — above their nametag and in the tab list. Ranks are pulled live from nexustiers.com and refresh as the ladder changes.

What it does

Once installed, TierTagger reads the public NexusTiers ranking data and draws a small tier label next to ranked players you encounter — both on their in-world nametag and in the player list. It's purely visual and client-side: it changes nothing on the server and gives no gameplay advantage.

  • Nametag tags — a player's current tier shows above their head.
  • Tab-list tags — the same label appears next to their name in the player list.
  • Chat tags — ranked players' names are labeled in chat messages too.
  • Auto-refresh — tags update automatically as ranks change on the site.

Customization

Type /nexustiers in chat to open a settings screen where you can tailor how tags appear. Your choices are saved automatically and persist between sessions.

  • Which tier to show — pick between Vanilla (Crystal ladder), Mace (Mace ladder), or Highest Tier, which compares both ladders and displays whichever rank is higher. Vanilla and Mace tiers use their own distinct custom icons so you can tell them apart at a glance.
  • Tag placement — choose whether the tier label sits to the left or right of the player's name, applied consistently across nametags, the tab list, and chat.

Install

  1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.11 and drop Fabric API into your mods folder.
  2. Download the TierTagger .jar above and place it in the same mods folder.
  3. Launch Minecraft with the Fabric profile — tier tags appear automatically.
